ABOUT OUR SOCIETY

THE (GIK) SWISS SOCIETY FOR INTENSIVE DYNAMIC SHORT-THERM PSYCHOTHERAPY WAS FOUNDED IN 1984.

The goal is teaching and research in the field of Intensive Dynamic Short Psychotherapy according to Habib Davanloo.

The GIK consists of a section of psychiatrists and psychotherapists as well as a section of psychologists with a university degree. The Society runs the Swiss Institute for Intensive Dynamic Short Psychotherapy, which organizes a national training program introductory course and training course. It organizes international symposia and maintains contacts with corresponding organizations in Europe and North America. The GIK is committed to safeguarding short-term psychotherapeutic concerns at the professional level and is an affiliated society of the Swiss Society of Psychiatry and Psychotherapy (SGP).

The GIK is part of the circle of other professional societies that have established themselves in Europe and overseas over the last few years. In Europe, there are related companies in Germany, Holland, Denmark, Italy and overseas, including Canada.
